Aerotek Construction Material Tester in Lincoln, Nebraska

Construction Material Tester

$18-22/hr | Omaha, NE

We are working with a large Geotechnical company that is looking for Material Technicians. This is a great entry level role in the engineering side of construction and an opportunity to work on large, interesting projects.

Description:

  • Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).

  • Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor’s representative and others as applicable regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.

  • Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.

  • Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager.

  • Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas. May assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites. Adhere to strict safety standards.

Wage:

  • Starting pay range: $18-$22/hr

  • Based off Prior experience

  • ACI or Nuclear Density Certification could Increase Starting Pay

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the construction trade is required - minimum 1 year. You will need to have knowledge working around large construction project and be able to document field notes.

  • Obtain ACI Certification within 90 Days of Hire (Company will Assist)

  • Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge Certification within 6 months of Hire (Company will Assist)

  • Must Be Willing to Submit to Post-Offer, Pre-Employment Background Screen, Drug Test, and Motor Vehicle Record Check
