Oversee all aspects of our benefits administration and strategy. Reporting to the Director of Benefits and Wellness, the Benefits Manager will be responsible for managing the entire benefits lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing benefits offerings to meet the needs of our diverse workforce. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of benefits regulations. This role requires the ability to lead a team, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and provide exceptional customer service to employees.

  • This role is an onsite role in Lincoln Nebraska, with some hybrid availability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage all aspects of benefits administration, including the annual open enrollment process, enrollment, eligibility verification, and communication with benefits providers.

  2. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA), 5500 filing requirements, and other regulatory filings.

  3. Oversee the annual benefits audit process, working closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  4. Develop and implement strategies to enhance our benefits offerings, taking into account industry best practices and the needs of our diverse workforce.

  5. Lead a team of benefits specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to support their professional development and ensure departmental goals are met.

  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Finance, and Legal to ensure alignment on benefits-related initiatives and policies.

  7. Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries from employees, providing timely and accurate information and resolving issues as needed.

  8. Analyze benefits data and metrics to identify trends, make recommendations for improvements, and measure the effectiveness of our benefits programs.

  9. Partner with external vendors and consultants as needed to administer certain benefits programs or address specialized needs.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

5+ years of experience in benefits administration.

  6. Problem-Solving: Addressing complex benefits issues, resolving inquiries, and devising innovative solutions.

  7. Team Collaboration: Effectively collaborating with diverse teams.

  8. Customer Service: Providing exceptional service to associates as their main benefits contact.

  9. Change Management: Adapting to and leading change, including process enhancements.

  10. Confidentiality: Handling employee data with integrity and maintaining confidentiality.

Pay range for this role is $90,000-$120,000 annually depending on experience.
