The Role

Support the implementation, and maintenance of the culture of continuous improvement with focus on people, quality, delivery and cost. Develop productivity improvement solutions and implement LEAN tools and systems across the Site. Champion deployment of Edwards Business System (EBS) & Edwards Production system (EPS)

How Will You Make An Impact?

  • Facilitate Problem Solving teams using DMAIC approach. Expert on problem solving.

  • Drive data driven thinking. Expert on data analysis (excel, Minitab)

  • Develop and lead the optimization of manufacturing processes, using Lean Six Sigma methods for design/re-design of processes, equipment, tools, fixtures, workstations and layouts. Train and coach team members in these areas.

  • Lead change management and the adoption of standard Lean Mgmt Systems practices using Edwards Production system (EPS) (e.g. Leader Std Work, Tier Mgt Mtgs, Gemba Walks, Stop&Fix, ideas system) in partnership with cross-functional leaders to drive problem solving visibility and effectiveness

  • Lead and facilitate complex training and workshops for cross-functional, cross-site project teams (e.g. Lean and Six Sigma Methods, VSM, Kaizen events, layout) while teaching/coaching team members on training materials

  • Lead the development and execution of complex action plans to achieve BEX (business excellence) goals in collaboration cross functional teams

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelors degree in Science/Engineering. Ideally further qualification in Lean Six Sigma / Business Improvement methodologies (Green Belt, Black Belt, MSc. Etc.)

  • 10 years experience in manufacturing environment.

  • 3 years in a full-time business improvement role.

What Else We Look For:

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Good leadership skills and ability to influence change

  • Accomplished at process improvement. Must be able to describe how improvements were delivered and have the ‘war stories’ to draw on.

  • Track record of process improvement achievements on the shop floor in manufacturing plants, transactional processes, non-manufacturing

  • Experienced user of Minitab & Working knowledge and understanding of statistical techniques

  • Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite

  • Strong documentation, communication and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects

  • Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organisations

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
