Position Summary

Leads and completes moderately complex industrial engineering assignments and performs statistical analysis of data to provide information to meet and improve production flow and standard times.

What you will do

  • Plan, lead and conduct Time and Motion Studies

  • Continuously support Kaizen initiatives to optimise direct and indirect manufacturing labour and in-plant material flow with industrial engineering methods including line balancing, time studies, as well as both in-plant and external material flow.

  • Create and maintain engineering standards; standard times to be established in line with international guidelines and standards (ILO & BSI).

  • Designs and implements optimal station layouts with management.

  • Drives towards sustainable solutions by developing a standard workflow for new and existing products while considering safety and efficiency.

  • Supports safety performance of the manufacturing area through the design of ergonomic solutions for the different operations as well as for material handling.

  • Assist with plans for current and new product launches through capacity and labour requirements.

  • Supports site CI strategy deployment by completing Bottleneck Analysis, Value Stream Mapping and lead LEAN lighthouse events.

  • Supports performs VE/VA activities as required by business unit.

  • Performs other duties as assigned in terms of overall site Continuous Improvement

What do you need

  • Minimum level 8 degree in Engineering, Science OR related degree subjects.

  • Minimum 6 Years experience.

  • Lean and Six Sigma experience preferred.

  • Green Belt Six Sigma preferred.

  • Medical Device experience preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, procedures, and engineering standards and systems.

  • Knowledge of product launch management systems.

  • Must possess strong team, and interpersonal skills to interact with and motivate a diverse group of people.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Coach and mentor engineering and operational staff in Lean and Six Sigma foundational tools.
