The Senior Access Manager is responsible of handling specific accounts in all country and leading the strategy for inclusion in public sector the new indications or new products prioritized by the Peru team, also lead the purchase process after that the product is included in the institution for reimbursement and ensure the availability of the product in the institution. The access lead will also seek opportunities new business from existing institutions and will develop new relationships in hospitals and public entities with potential around the country.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop total country strategic plan for inclusion and growth based on potential value of accounts, analyses of the current and future portfolio of products aligned Business Units/Marketing objectives.

  • Collaborate with the Business Unit team to oversee accounts closely throughout the permanent evaluation and identification of new business opportunities and proactively recommend/deploy courses of action, which would ensure access goals and generate options to satisfy objectives.

  • Follow up the execution of the Strategic Tenders, Contracts and purchase orders to assure BMS business according with Account opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Business Units/Marketing/ Medical to align strategic objectives per account.

  • Ensure the availability of the products in the hospitals in the country. To manage the relationship with the centralized purchase institutions in the country to follow up the inventory transfers to the hospitals.

  • Monitor competition and market trends, calculating potential impact and vulnerability of the accounts.

  • Understand and identify institutions’ operational and strategic needs and align which Strategic Solution/Value Proposition will be implemented.

  • Present a business review of the key institutions for the actual portfolio and inclusion then new products or indications under him/her responsibility.

  • Identify key stake holders in the hospitals to build the field work plan.

  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter.

  • Strong negotiation skills, with ability follow-through on client contracts

  • In-depth understanding of company key clients and their position in the industry

  • Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, health sciences, business administration, sales, or relevant field; master’s degree preferred.

  • Four to five years’ previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, or relevant experience

Knowledge Desired

  • Peru Health Care system.

  • Tenders and Contacts management in public institutions.

  • Advanced Understanding of the access in main public institutions – CEABE – CENARES – MINSA - ESSALUD

  • Business Plan preparation

  • Team Management

  • Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals

  • Basic computer skills, and experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite

  • English for presentations and conversations

  • Field Work 70% and Office 30%
