Starts 4/22/2024

13-week contract with options. $66.67 per hour. Local Float Nurse

3:00 AM to 3:00 PM (12 hour days) - no call - every other weekend - 36 hour guarantee

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care using age specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries. Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes.

Must be able to function as a 1st assist and Scrub OB

FEM Certified -Required

BLS Cert Can pend - all others must be active at time of submission.

Further Lima Specifics:

All contract nurses will be expected/required to float to units within their scope of practice and skill set. Should a conractor refuse to float, our client reserves the right to them home without pay for the entire work week.

Requirements

  • Degree level: Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) or Associate degree in nursing (ADN)

  • Active Certifications and/or Licenses

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and decision making skills

  • Effective communicator

Physical Requirements

Nurses often work long shifts and must have the physical ability to stand for long periods of time, transport patients by pushing or pulling gurneys and wheelchairs, and lift patients as needed. In addition to these general skills, a Nurse could be expected by potential employers to possess the following skills. Eye hand coordination skills and ability to manipulate objects.
