Lima Memorial Health Systems Pharmacy Technician First Shift in Lima, Ohio

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, the Pharmacy Technician works as a partner with the registered pharmacists and interns in performing the functions of dispensing, billing and recordkeeping in the Pharmacy Department and throughout the Health System. Responsibilities include preparation of unit medication dose packaging, medication labeling and distribution, IV admixture compounding, and preparation and delivery of floor stock items. The Pharmacy Technician works with the pharmacist to ensure medication storage areas inside and outside of the pharmacy are clean and secure. All duties are performed under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required with educational background that includes some clerical, science (chemistry preferred), and mathematics courses.Licensure/Certification:Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required within one year of date of hire.
