Job Description

Hawai‘i Pacific Health Medical Group is seeking a highly motivated and skilled locum/temporary radiologist to join our team at Wilcox Medical Center on the beautiful island of Kauai.

Our radiology provider team consists of 4 permanent FT/PT radiologists on-site, as well as a team who performs teleradiology coverage from Oahu. This group covers two hospitals: Wilcox Medical Center (main site) as well as Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital. More information below:

D ates Needed : Ongoing; full time for a duration of 3 months or more.

S chedule : Monday to Friday (7:30 AM to 4:30 PM) and weekend coverage (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, one weekend per month)

C all Schedule : Weekday call coverage one week per month. After hours reads are supported by a Nighthawk with the exception of Trauma reads from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM that are the responsibility of the on-call Radiologist

E MR : EPIC

T ypes of Cases : Caseload includes a mixture of CT, MRI, US, Mammography, and plain films. Cases may vary each day.

100% on-site; no remote.

Includes tail coverage, travel, and lodging.

Qualifications:

  • Must move to the island and work full-time for a duration of at least 3 months. Candidates willing to work longer assignments will be given preference.

  • Must be willing and able to assist with periodic weekend coverage.

  • Must be able to interpret MRI and mammography.

  • Must be Board Certified.

  • Must be licensed in Hawaii or eligible to obtain license.

  • Ability to perform routine procedures (thoracentesis, paracentesis, fluoroscopic joint injections and lumbar puncture, and CT or US guided biopsies) is preferred.
