The Children's Home of Wyoming ( CHOWC) Youth Coach in Liberty, New York

Overview: The Children's Home of Wyoming is seeking a Part-time Youth Coach in Liberty.

The Youth Coach works as a member of the Youth Employment and Support (YES) team to work with the at-risk youth population in Sullivan County. The Youth Coach and YES team focuses on addressing truancy issues by working one-on-one with youth through communicating key information to promote healthy futures.

Primary responsibility is this role is working to mentor the youth in the YES program. Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned clients and their families. All Service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model. Identify strengths an interests of the youth during their first 2-3 weeks to help build relationships and supportive networks for the youth and families. Identify available community resources. Assist with Job searches, interviews, and transportation to appointments. Assist in accomplishing goals set by a team of providers.

Shift, Salary and Benefits: This is a part-time position, Monday-Friday, 3 PM to 7 PM, $16.00 to $18.00 hourly. Benefits include; Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Leave, Holidays, and 401K/Retirement.
