Job Description

The photo studio tech is responsible for supporting all photo studio and lab shoots across all Dotdash Meredith brands. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supporting all photo studio projects, from getting Equipment lists ready for clients and our Lab staff photographers, helping with lighting set-up and set strikes; equipment management and maintenance; prop room and kitchen studio maintenance; working closely with our head of studio and equipment.

This role is required to be onsite.

About your contributions:

  • Support all photo studio and lab shoots taking place.
  • Maintain physical presence in the EQ room.
  • Keep the EQ room organized.
  • Maintain all Studio kitchens neat and organized.
  • Support Staff photographers when needed and available.
  • Keep track of equipment coming in and out of the Eq room.
  • Be able to troubleshoot any issues with any of our computers and photo gear.
  • Create Equipment lists for all photo studio shoots.
  • Be able to cover productions after our hours of operation.

About you:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a photo studio and/or studio environment.
  • Proficient in all modern camera systems (specifically canon) & lighting equipment.
  • Proficient in Adobe suite, CaptureOne and Google Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work across teams with a positive, solutions oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, iterative, deadline driven environment.
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift upwards of 50 lbs.

Pay Range

Hourly: $24.00 - $31.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
