Job Summary

The Catering Chef will be a key player in the success of high-volume, high-end catering events at a Corporate Dining account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successful culinary catering operation under the direction of the Executive Chef and in collaboration with the Catering Manager

  • Responsible for seasonal menu changes, drafting, and implementing new menus

  • Ensure successful events and client satisfaction.

  • Adhere to HACCP guidelines to ensure efficient, safe, and sanitary food production, preparation, and presentation

  • Inventory, ordering/purchasing, food cost controls, training, sanitation, and personnel management; including hiring, firing, counseling, mentoring, and developing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and three to five years of culinary experience preferred

  • Previous experience in high-end catering events in a culinary capacity

  • Minimum of two to five years of culinary, catering kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training

  • Catering experience is required for this role

  • Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation

  • Batch cooking or high-volume cooking experience is preferred

  • Experience with food production for large, high-end catering or banquet functions

  • ServSafe Certified
