Job Description

The Advanced Process Equipment Engineer is technical support for Critical Production Equipment that is considered to be or has potential to become an Advanced Production System.

• Advanced Production systems include production systems controlled by a computer interface, programed logic controller, or custom-built configuration.

• Monitor and update equipment inventory records.

• Purchase new equipment and supplies as needed.

• Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.

• Troubleshoot any problems that arise with equipment.

• Operate and maintain equipment.

• Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure safety and compliance within standards.

• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to perform routine maintenance.

• Ensure the Advanced Equipment machine configurations are standardized and in accordance with configuration drawings across all facilities.

• Ensure the Advanced Equipment machine settings match the published work instruction settings.

• Support Manufacturing Control system improvement and energy consumption reduction efforts.

• Propose opportunities for improvement in operation, safety, and efficiency of production equipment.

• Ensure proposed process and machine improvements are implemented in accordance with procedures.

• Maintain and utilize internally developed Troubleshooting manuals to resolve all machine issues.

• Ensure all Advanced Equipment machine spare parts are readily available when required.

• Evaluation and adjustment of all Total Preventative Maintenance tasks associated with Advanced Equipment.

• Validation of specialized tooling and update of drawings

• Recording of all machine issues in the MS facilities in the Machine Issues Database.

• Report out monthly metrics.

• Updates for Machine Operation Manuals.

• Other duties as assigned.

• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

• This position requires hands on equipment modification and maintenance.

• This position sits and performs computer work for extended periods of time.

• This position requires lifting of up to 30lbs.

• The work environment is a mix of office and manufacturing floor environments with moderate noise.

• Some travel required (approximately 20%).

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 2+ years of experience in equipment support with hands on maintenance of specialized process equipment.

Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and equipment management software.
