Responsibilities
Meridell Achievement Center is seeking a full-time therapist to join our clinical services team in providing exceptional therapeutic treatment for children, adolescents, and their families.
Meridell Achievement Center is a 134-bed private residential treatment facility that specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents who have emotional, behavioral and neurobehavioral problems. The Therapist is a key member of the Meridell Achievement Center (Meridell) treatment team who will coordinate a therapeutic strategy to provide appropriate treatment for patients assigned to their caseload. The Therapist ensures high-quality delivery of programming and therapeutic services that align with the mission, vision, and values of Meridell and UHS and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accredidation requirements. The therapist participates in clinical department meetings and contributes to the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
Program Therapist Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of up to 11 patients
Provide individual and family therapy once per week for each patient
Lead 2–3 psychoeducation, issue or process groups each week
Manage case management responsibilities including discharge planning and aftercare dispositions.
Serve as the liaison between the treatment team and families/community stakeholders.
Submit timely and complete documentation to include progress notes and treatment plans.
Complete intakes and psychosocial assessments
Participate in weekly treatment team staffings and team meetings with your unit team members
Coordinate and communicate service delivery with internal departments to include education, intake, utilization review, medical records and business office.

Qualifications
Qualifications
Current State of Texas license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMSW, LMFT-A, or LPC-A, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Effective interpersonal skills and competent clinical skills
Collaborative, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Preferred Requirements:
(2) Two years post-licensure experience, advanced training or certification in an evidence-based practice such as EMDR, CBT, or DBT.
(1) One year of clinical experience in RTC setting.
(1) One year of group facilitation experience.
