Responsibilities

Meridell Achievement Center is seeking a Program Manager to assist us with our mission of providing exceptional treatment for our adolescent and children patient population.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Manager works directly with Mental Health Techs as assigned to supervise, direct and train to create a Neurobehavioral Residential program under the guidance of the Program Director.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Available to answer questions, train, support all Mental Health Technicians across the Neuro units.

  • Involved and engaged in Treatment Team meetings across the Neurobehavioral Program. Collaborates with all clinical and medical departments for Neuro units.

  • Responsible for reinforcing the treatment milieu of Neuro programming for positive peer culture and neurobehavioral as directed by the Program Director. Under the direction of the Program Director, provides leadership, consultation, and training to all members of the Treatment Team to ensure that the approved program philosophy and integrity are maintained at all times. This individual also supports the clinical team and unit nurse leadership.

  • Is responsible for the reinforcement of assessment, design, structure and implementation of program services to best meet the needs of patients and families.

  • Occasionally may be asked to fill in on units as duties arise, while maintaining a managerial relationship with all MHTs assigned on unit.

  • Works collaboratively with other departments utilizing the resources of UHS Neurobehavioral Systems to enhance the milieu, program effectiveness, and skills of the unit staff.

  • Demonstrates positivity and care towards others in order to further our mission of a non-punitive, supportive relationships between staff members and between staff and patients.

  • Facilitates positive relationships between and among various Treatment Team members and between and among other facility departments. Facilitates communications with families to provide patient-specific information, answer questions and ensure that families are contacted by the appropriate team member.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five to six (5-6) years of experience in a residential treatment setting or working with adolescents preferred

  • Preferred licensed person, experience with children and adolescents and psychiatric program/unit management.

  • Ability to organize, coordinate, communicate, teach and provide leadership for the assigned programs.

  • Essential Physical Requirements: Medium demand, mentally and physically requiring walking, sitting, standing, occasional bending, reaching and lifting, with ability to participate in crisis intervention techniques with patients requiring physical control. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
