Summary:

This position is responsible for driving the APR’s business strategy to accelerate growth in the automation businesses including programmable controllers, I/O, HMI, safety, industrial computers, system network design, design software, operations software, and plant maintenance software. You will be technical liaison between Rockwell Automation and the distributor. Job is hiring in Liberal, Garden City, Dodge City

Reports to: Solution Consultant Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering OR equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education

  • 3-years’ experience/knowledge applying Rockwell Automations products or equivalent competitive solutions

  • Outcome-based selling experience

  • Demonstrate technical writing and presentation skills

    ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of local market and competitive environment

  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal certification in functional safety, network design, or cybersecurity

Working Conditions:

  • Conditions vary and may include industrial, warehouse, office, and external environments. Some activities will include climbing, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office time may include sitting for extended periods.

  • The position involves travel – both by car and by air.

Essential Job Functions:

· Demonstrates the ability to describe and apply the fundamentals of programmable controllers, I/O, HMI, safety, industrial computers, system network design, design software, operations software, and plant maintenance software in manufacturing environments.

· Understands legacy products and provides modernization guidance from legacy products to latest technology.

· Good technical writing & presentation skills with ability to present RA’s value proposition to mid / large size groups of customers (external and internal) both commercially and technically.

· Leading disciplined sales process to identify automation opportunities

· Uses configuration tools such as Proposal Works to configure core products.

· Provides guidance to customers on the proper installation and configuration of core products.

· Communicate commercial and technical product issues to Rockwell Automation Domain Experts and business units.

· Ability to develop an internal training plan for your territory
