Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Practice Manager, Full Time in Libby, Montana

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for a Practice Manager to join our Family Medicine Team!

Reporting to the Cabinet Peaks Medical Center CEO. The Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office. Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding patient care, customer service, and physician/staff productivity. Performs all duties associated with being a Department Manager (budget, compliance, quality improvement, supervision of other outsourced CPMC staff, strategic planning, etc.)

Major Job Duties & Responsibilities

Role models PROMISE behavioral standards

Patient/Customer Satisfaction: Implements practices and programs that improve patient's/customer's experience and/or improves the health of out population. Achieves established patient/customer satisfaction scores. Utilizes tools (AIDET, rounding, etc.) to increase patient/customer satisfaction.

Planning: Aligns all work and resources management with CPMC mission, vision, values, goals and strategic initiatives. Actively participates in planning long-term strategies for the department. Keeps up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, etc. Translates strategies into annual measurable goals for the department, utilizes tracking and reporting tools on a consistent basis. Meets deadlines.

Financial Results: Develops yearly budget for department(s) that align with strategic goals. Monitors actual expenditures against budgeted amounts and develops corrective action plans for significant variances. Identifies opportunities to reduce per capita cost of healthcare.

Quality: Identifies quality standards, measures performance, implements action plans to correct deficiencies and continuously improves process to meet patient/customer needs. Provides time responses (email, phone calls) to customers. Provide educational and growth opportunities to internal and external department staff.

Management of Staff: Determines headcount needs, devises work schedules, hires high quality personnel, communicates in a timely manor, conducts effective, on-time performance evaluations, applies HR policies consistently, handles employee performance problems quickly and per policies, rewards and recognizes staff accomplishments

Compliance: Stays abreast of and ensures compliance with all CPMC policies and procedures, laws, regulatory requirements, Medicare Conditions of Participation, etc. Develops and maintains current department policies and procedures.

Directs and ensures the day-to-day operating needs of all outline clinics as assigned.

Ensures optimum patient services from initial contact to close of services to include patient concerns, questions, or problems.

Directs the timely and accurate coding/submission of claims.

Supports the activities and needs of the physicians by providing appropriate resources.

Monitors and ensure compliance with all required legal requirements and governmental reporting regulations.

Oversees systems to manage medical records in the clinic

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Ability to demonstrate competency performing all essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Strong interpersonal skills and supervision skills required to interact with patients, providers, staff and community.

Proven ability to take initiative, exercise independent judgment and proactively problem-solve.

Ability to maintain harmonious working relationships while addressing complex and sensitive administrative issues.

Skill in researching, preparing, interpreting and presenting comprehensive reports.

Knowledge of health care administration practices.

Knowledge of computer systems and medical software/ applications (Meditech and e-Clinical Works preferred).

Knowledge of government and reimbursement regulations and requirements including HIPAA.

Excellent verbal, analytical, and conflict resolution skills, knowledge of business and medical terminology and systems.

Solid organization skills, initiative and innovation.

Ability to respond quickly and purposefully to routine and unusual situations..

Experience

Minimum of 5 years in clinic management/operations; hospital experience will be considered.

Educational Requirements

BS degree in Healthcare releated area of study. Masters in Healthcare Administration or Business Preferred.

Schedule

Schedule varies based on Physician's Practice schedule. Primarily Monday through Friday - Day Shift
