Cabinet Mountain Brewing Company is a destination microbrewery and taproom located in Libby, Montana. It focuses on a unique taproom experience of handcrafted beer and food; and supplements sales with beer distribution across Montana. The Brewer's Assistant will be an integral member of Cabinet Mountain Brewing Company's team and will be expected to work collaboratively with and report directly to the Head Brewer, together working to meet Company goals. Qualifications- A successful candidate will be someone that has a passion for craft brews; is self-directed and can work effectively independently; takes initiative and enjoys working in a team-based atmosphere. The ideal person will have some basic knowledge of brewing and/or fermentation. A strong mechanical ability is preferred. The position requires good time management, organization and communication skills. Must display integrity, confidence, critical thinking capabilities, attention to quality and detail, and be dependable. Must be able to stay focused on objectives and priorities. The Assistant Brewer must able to easily maneuver in confined spaces; be able to lift 60 lbs. and move at least 165 lbs.; and be able to work in a variety of extreme weather conditions form time to time. Reliable transportation & communication device a must. Responsibilities/expectations- This is a part-time entry-level position with opportunity for growth. Initial duties will include keg washing and general tasks as defined by the Brewer, including, but not limited to: - Assisting and maintaining a clean and safe work area - Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment, tanks, kegs and work areas - Maintaining a safe and regulatory compliant work environment with an emphasis on quality control - Assisting in moving and manipulation of product/equipment at various production stages - Maintaining constant communication with Head Brewer on any issues and their development - Problem solving and troubleshooting, getting assistance when needed - Other duties as assigned by the Head Brewer Additional duties may include those listed below and by the discretion of the Brewer based upon performance. - Assist the Head Brewer in the brewing and quality control processes to maintain top quality and consistent beer - Assists with performance of production operations - Perform equipment maintenance and cleaning as assigned - Participate in Cabinet Mountain Brewing Company events where needed and represent our brewery with passion and professionalism - Work and communicate well with other staff, customers, suppliers and outside parties - Embrace a process of, and opportunity for continual improvement This is currently a part-time position and will be paid at an hourly rate.
