Overview:

The Navy Multi-Mission Helicopter Program Office (PMA-299) is responsible for acquisition logistics, sustainment, and life cycle support of domestic and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) H-60 variants including MH-60R and MH-60S. Logistics supports multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) within PMA-299 including In-Service, MH-60R, Air Vehicle, Mission Systems, Digital Interoperability, Avionics, T700 Engines and Drives, Weapons and FMS. PMA-299 requires program management and logistics support services in acquisition and sustainment for the life cycle of specified weapons systems, systems of systems (SoS), sub-systems, and support equipment (SE).

Job Summary:

This role a cts as the overall lead, manager and administrator for the contracted effort of Acquisition Category (ACAT) I and II programs or manages across multiple teams. The Program Manager, Senior d irects efforts of cross-MAO team(s) to include contractors at multiple locations.

Education and Experience:

  • At least 10 years' recent FTE professional experience in Defense acquisition , five (5) years of which must have been in the previous ten (10) years, in support of Navy Acquisition management; and a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience.

  • Masters of Arts or Masters of Science degree in Business , Logistics Management, or Business /Technical /Engineering Management

    Essential Duties:

  • Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives, on technical and program/project issues

  • Regularly briefs senior leadership on program status and milestones

  • Oversees contractor personnel program or project operations by developing procedures, planning and directing execution of the technical, programming, maintenance and administrative support effort and monitoring and reporting progress

  • Manages acquisition and employment of program or project resources and controls financial and administrative aspects of the program or project with respect to contract requirements

    Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Experience with aircraft systems, HW and SW, configuration control, T&E, systems integration, and systems supportability

  • Experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives directly related to aircraft systems, HW and SW, configuration control, T&E, systems integration, and systems supportability

  • Experience managing different phases of weapon system acquisition, including Concept Development, System Development and Demonstration

  • Knowledgeable of acquisition policies and procedures

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DOD 5000 series

  • Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, Systems Engineering (SE), major system acquisitions, and financial management .
