VectorCSP Sr Logistics Specialist in Lexington Park, Maryland

Overview:

T he Navy Multi-Mission Helicopter Program Office (PMA-299) is responsible for acquisition logistics, sustainment, and life cycle support of domestic and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) H-60 variants including MH-60R and MH-60S. Logistics supports multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) within PMA-299 including In-Service, MH-60R, Air Vehicle, Mission Systems, Digital Interoperability, Avionics, T700 Engines and Drives, Weapons and FMS. PMA-299 requires program management and logistics support services in acquisition and sustainment for the life cycle of specified weapons systems, systems of systems (SoS), sub-systems, and support equipment (SE) .

Job Summary:

This role involves leading initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of support and maintenance programs, ensuring operational readiness and sustainability of critical defense assets. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our logistics strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address technical and resource-related challenges, and driving improvements in system supportability and maintainability.

Education and Experience:

  • At least 10 years' FTE experience in acquisition logistics support or maintenance engineering . A minimum of four (4) years of specific experience in technical analysis of logistics acquisition requirements analysis as well as experience demonstrating ability to independently perform IPS studies, analysis, and evaluations in support of DoD weapons systems or equipment, both air vehicle and avionics.

  • Masters of Arts or Masters of Science degree in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Management, Business or Engineering

    Essential Duties:

  • Developing, operating , evaluating, and improving supportability and maintainability programs and systems.

  • Collaborating with logistics and maintenance organizations on technical evaluations, logistics requirements, and resource identification.

  • Creating logistics support and maintainability plans or programs.

  • Conducting system acquisition requirements analysis, budgetary and financial analysis, LCC analysis and control.

  • Ensuring weapon systems hardware and software standardization and compatibility.

  • Planning and executing Integrated Product Support (IPS)/Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) testing and evaluation, and program management analysis.

  • Collecting, compiling, analyzing, and applying logistics , maintenance, acquisition, or financial data and information.

  • Developing and validating documentation related to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems and management information systems .

    Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of DoD / NAVAIR processes and procedures. (Desired)

  • Working knowledge of NAVAIR Logistics Tools

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal, written, and electronic formats
