Job Information

Amentum Program Manager in Lexington Park, Maryland

Acts as the overall lead, manager and administrator for the contracted effort. Serve as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives. Oversees Contractor personnel program/project operations by developing procedures, planning and directing execution of the technical, programming, maintenance and administrative support effort and maintaining and reporting progress. Manages acquisitions and employment of program/project resources and controls financial and administrative aspects of the program/project with respect to contract requirements as applicable. Ensures compliance with all sections of the NAVAIRINST 3710.1 and CNAFINST 4790.2 series

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or Management discipline. Associate's degree plus for (4) years additional work experience performing duties detailed OR eight (8) years additional work experience performing duties detailed may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

  • Minimum of six (6) years' experience (within the last 6 years) in Defense Acquisition, including at least three (3) years of experience (within the last 5 years) in support of Navy Acquisition management, such as aircraft systems, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration and systems supportability.

  • Experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives directly related to aircraft systems, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability.

  • Knowledgeable of acquisitions policies and procedures. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of DOD 5000 series. Ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of the contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major systems acquisitions, and financial management.

  • Shall have experience supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Integrated Test Teams (ITTs).

  • Personnel released from Military Service require an Honorable Discharge. Rotary Wing Aircraft experience within the last 5 years is required.

  • Active Top Secret Clearance is Required.

Security Clearance:

  • Position requires the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance and maintain a favorable Tier 5 background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • S-92, VH-92A, VH-3D, and VH-60N experience preferred.
