VectorCSP Jr Logistics Specialist in Lexington Park, Maryland
Overview:
The PSMI Department aids PMA260 by serving as the principal authority for the Naval Aviation Support Equipment (SE) Program and the Department of Defense (DoD) Automatic Test System (ATS) leadership. It provides PMA260 with acquisition and in-service logistics support services, offering Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) program management and logistics support throughout the acquisition and sustainment life cycle of the designated weapon system/system of systems, including its subsystems and support equipment.
Job Summary:
This role focuses on offering essential support to logistics personnel, engaging in a broad spectrum of activities aimed at enhancing the supportability and maintainability of weapon systems and related information systems.
Education and Experience:
2 years' experience in Logistics support, Business, or Engineering.
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree
Associate's Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described OR four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described can be substituted for the BA/BS degree
Essential Duties:
Providing support to logistics personnel to ensure organizational objectives are met.
Developing, operating, evaluating, and improving programs related to weapon systems' supportability and maintainability.
Collaborating on logistics and maintainability programs, addressing technical evaluations, and identifying logistics requirements and resources.
Crafting logistics support and maintainability programs or plans to ensure effective system operation.
Conducting systems acquisition requirements analysis, alongside managing budgetary, financial, and life cycle costs to optimize resource allocation.
Working towards the standardization and compatibility of weapon systems hardware and software, enhancing interoperability.
Leading the planning and execution of testing and evaluation for Integrated Product Support (IPS)/Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) programs, contributing to program management analysis.
Gathering, analyzing, and applying logistics, maintenance, acquisition, and financial data to support decision-making processes.
Creating, modifying, and validating documentation related to logistics or maintenance data reporting systems and management information systems.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
Working knowledge of DoD / NAVAIR processes and procedures. (Desired)
Working knowledge of NAVAIR Logistics Tools
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal, written, and electronic formats
