Title:

F-18 Avionics Operations Lead

KBR is seeking an F-18 Avionics Operations Lead to join our team !

In this role, you will support PMA-265 GSI Team, JTT-R (Joint Tactical Terminal Receiver), JTT-R+ (interim Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) solution for EA-18G) and Global Lightning (BLOS for E/F and G) weapon systems.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Participates as a member in a fast paced cross-functional Integrated Product Team, working closely with the DAPML, Program Managers, Engineering, and FSTs. Projects are high visibility, and support EA-18G and F/A-18 E/F critical capabilities.

  • Supports ECP process: Develop draft DCCB briefs. Contribute logistics/supportability inputs to ECP checklist, ECP documents and ECP discussions. Support tracking of ECPs against schedules, coordinating with CM, FST, OEM, etc. as needed to meet required timelines.

  • Supports TD process: Develop draft TD briefs. Contribute logistics/supportability inputs to TD discussions. . Support tracking of TDs against schedules, coordinating with CM, FST, OEM, etc. as needed to meet required timelines.

  • Performs research as needed regarding IETMS/technical publications content, parts status and availability, etc.

  • Supports programmatic and systems engineering reviews, to include TIMs, PMRs, SETR events, MELRs, ILSMTs, etc.

  • Performs analysis and identify Integrated Product Support (IPS) element acquisition requirements and provide supportability recommendations.

  • Supports the development of Naval Aviation Training documentation for the target systems.

  • Assists with coordinating modification schedules, plans and requirements with military leadership.

  • Analyzes system degraders and recommend corrective actions.

  • Supports with Government contracting efforts, as needed. i.e.

  • Draft and review statements of work, CDRLs, etc.

  • Takes notes, documents, and tracks action items.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a BA/BS Degree plus at least 10 years of experience in operational logistics or maintenance engineering. Must have at least 4 years of experience directing the activities of operational technicians in the performance of comprehensive analysis across the Sprectrum. Must have at least 2 years of operational logistics planning and management experience providing logistics planning and scheduling in support of DoD weapons systems and equipment.

  • 8 years of related experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • F-18 Avionics experience is required.

  • Must have recent aviation maintenance experience.

  • An active secret level security clearance is required.

  • Must be able to travel as required by the contract.

  • Prior F/A-18/EA-18G experience is required.
