MIT Lincoln Laboratory Summer ISD Staff (May - August 2024) in Lexington, Massachusetts

Job Description

The Network Engineering and Operations coop will be fully integrated into all aspects of the Network Team in ISD. The coop will assist the team with network troubleshooting technics in response to incidents reported in Service Now. They will also assist in the provisioning of network services requested through Service Now. In addition to the operational duties the coop will also be tasked with evaluating competing technologies in the WiFi technology space to compare and contrast products with a special focus on AI and Machine Learning capabilities of each solution. A report will be required with findings to assist in the selection of the next WiFi network at the Laboratory.

Qualifications:

Interest in exploring new and old networking technologies to gain a solid foundation with respect to networks.

Ability to work outside their comfort zone and communicate with team members and external vendors.

Strong written and oral skills

Basic understanding of IT technology

Education:

Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in CS.

Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
