Location: Lexington, MA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, analyze, model, test, and simulate communications systems, subsystems, and electronic signals for communication networks, data links, digital radio, battle management, and command and control systems such as wide and local area networks, point-to-point systems, secure systems, signal coding and modulation schema, digital and wireless radio communications technology, and network architecture design.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related scientific or engineering field (Master’s degree or PhD is preferred).

  • Experience developing software for 5G NR Physical layer (i.e., using software packages such as srsRAN).

  • Proficiency in C++ development, including coding, debugging, and testing.

  • Experience designing software for real-time and near-real-time software executing physical-layer processing of digital communication receivers (i.e., demodulation, equalization, and decoding).

  • Familiarity with design principles for digital communication systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills including collaborating with other on-site and/or remote technical team members, preparing and sharing technical results with others, and documenting work to aid other team members and activities.

  • Hands-on experience with operating Ettus and NI software defined radios is a plus.

  • Software development experience leveraging ZeroMQ asynchronous messaging library is preferred.

  • Proficiency in MATLAB is highly desired.

  • Due to the nature of the work, an Interim clearance is required, however an active Secret clearance is highly preferred.
