Advocates Residential Program Director - Brain Injury Services in Lexington, Massachusetts

Starting Rate: $ 56,160

The Residential Program Director is responsible for the successful administration and management of the clinical, budgetary and business operations of the program. This role serves as interdisciplinary team coordinator for residents and their families and facilitates the delivery of quality, appropriate services to residents according to Mass Health, SHIP, waiver programs and agency requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall fiscal responsibility for the site; including the safeguard of residents’ monetary funds.

  • Manage and streamline administrative processes and requirements in consultation with affiliated senior managers or designees including but not limited to Fiscal Services, Human Resources, Information Services, Housing, and Maintenance functions.

  • Assign and monitor scheduling of staff to ensure program coverage and budget compliance, and ensure that staff complete all necessary training.

  • Provide supervision and evaluation to Residential Program Supervisor and assigned staff.

  • Lead/co-lead program and staff meetings for the purpose of education, skill growth, program planning, evaluating resident care, and improving program functioning.

  • Participate in admission process of residents and develops discharge plans, to include intake, psychosocial assessments, and development of appropriate resident services.

  • Assist residents with psychosocial issues and provide assistance as appropriate.

  • Develop behavior plans in conjunction with clinical team and guardian and/or family, as appropriate.

  • Coordinate service planning and other meetings with residents, guardians and/or family members.

  • Assists with the development, review, updates, revisions and enforcement of policies and procedures for the program in accordance with funding and Advocates’ policy and procedures.

  • Monitor the up-keep of the program site. Ensure program meets safety and cleanliness standards.

  • Participate in the on-call rotation through 24 hour availability for consultation and emergency crisis intervention.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ experience, or Master’s Degree with 3 years’ experience in related field. At least one year of supervisory experience required.

  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.

  • Working knowledge of Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, SHIP, community resources and waiver programs.

  • Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.

  • Ability to execute a variety of decision-making models. Ability to demonstrate superior problem solving skills.

  • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple simultaneous tasks, organizing, prioritizing, planning, sequencing and completing tasks independently.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.

  • Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
