MIT Lincoln Laboratory Group 38: Business Analyst Summer Intern in Lexington, Massachusetts

The Air, Missile, and Maritime Defense Technology Division focuses on helping to defend our nation, deployed forces, and allies. Our activities include developing and assisting integrated systems for defense against missiles and other threats. This is accomplished through six broad technical groups: Advanced Concepts and Technologies; Advanced Sensor Systems and Test beds; Advanced Undersea Systems and Technology; Integrated Missile Defense Technology; Interceptor and Sensor Technology; and Systems and Architecture.

The Interceptor and Sensor Technology Group assists the and the U.S. military with protecting the country and our forces by developing advanced technologies that enable air and missile defense systems to identify, track, and intercept potential threats.

Business Analyst Summer Intern

The Interceptor and Sensor Technology Group currently has a summer student position for a Business Analyst. The Business Analyst will be a member of the Business Manager Team and will work primarily with the Inceptor Sensor Technology in conjunction with the remaining groups attending meetings and receiving required training. This individual will assist various aspects of the Business Manager daily workload as well as take on special projects as assigned. The selected candidate will identify customer requirements and perform the required administrative tasks, research and data analysis to make decisions and obtain stakeholder input and concurrence in support of assigned projects. This individual must have strong business acumen and analytical skills in addition to demonstrated experience working with various types of data using spreadsheets and other business applications. Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s program preferably in Business Administration, Business Management or related field

  • Strong Analytical/computer skills as well as a developed skill set with MS Word and Excel

  • Demonstrated track record of effectively working with highly detailed documents

  • Demonstrated capabilities in presenting ideas written and face to face

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

    Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
