MIT Lincoln Laboratory 02-21 | CO-OP Student (HA/DR Systems) in Lexington, Massachusetts

Our group develops innovative solutions to address Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) technology needs. Programs range from building decisions support systems to enable emergency mangers to make hurricane evacuation decisions to the application of advanced Lidar for debris and damage assessment. We build operational prototypes of software and hardware to enhance the capabilities of HADR planners and responders. Researchers in this group analyze HADR challenges and design and deploy machine-learning algorithms, system architectures, software platforms, and innovative sensors in support of our HADR mission.

Job Description

Group 21 is seeking a co-op student to support our team in identifying critical datasets and refining data into effective modeling schemes for an internally funded effort. An ideal candidate is skilled at researching complex datasets, understanding and developing conflict models, and is able to present and lead a detailed discussion on their modelling.

Currently enrolled in accredited Computer Science and/or Mathematics degree program with a GPA of 3.3 or higher.

Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
