Kentucky Blood Center Testing Lab Technician 3DAY WEEK ( Fri/Sat/Sun 7:30am-8pm ) in Lexington, Kentucky
Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 7:30am-8pm (3x12 Hour shift). Full Time
$500 Sign on Bonus (after 90 days)
Kentucky Blood Center is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated lab professional to perform required testing of products in accordance with guidelines. Other responsibilities include antigen typing, QC/calibration of reagents and equipment, quarantine and release of products, auditing of processes, general lab duties, and compliance with policies and procedures. Strong written and oral communication skills, a do-what-it-takes work ethic, and a team-player attitude are required. Job-specific training provided.
Training hours will be M-F- 8:00am - 4:30pm
Qualifications:
Associate degree in laboratory science, MLT, CLT, or equivalent, preferred;
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or life sciences with appropriate combination of laboratory experience may be substituted for MLT credential.
Microsoft Office proficiency, with the ability to effectively navigate web applications and custom systems.
Prior laboratory or similar healthcare experience required.
Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, with intermittent walking and sitting.
Requires the ability to differentiate and identify specific colors, and various shades.
