Kentucky Blood Center Testing Lab Technician 3DAY WEEK ( Fri/Sat/Sun 7:30am-8pm ) in Lexington, Kentucky

Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 7:30am-8pm (3x12 Hour shift). Full Time

$500 Sign on Bonus (after 90 days)

Kentucky Blood Center is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated lab professional to perform required testing of products in accordance with guidelines. Other responsibilities include antigen typing, QC/calibration of reagents and equipment, quarantine and release of products, auditing of processes, general lab duties, and compliance with policies and procedures. Strong written and oral communication skills, a do-what-it-takes work ethic, and a team-player attitude are required. Job-specific training provided.

Training hours will be M-F- 8:00am - 4:30pm

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in laboratory science, MLT, CLT, or equivalent, preferred;

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or life sciences with appropriate combination of laboratory experience may be substituted for MLT credential.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency, with the ability to effectively navigate web applications and custom systems.

  • Prior laboratory or similar healthcare experience required.

  • Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, with intermittent walking and sitting.

  • Requires the ability to differentiate and identify specific colors, and various shades.
