Lockheed Martin Technical Writing, Provisioning, and Logistics - Early Career in Lexington, Kentucky

Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control, Special Operations and Support Services (SOF GLSS), located in Lexington, KY is looking for an experienced and proficient Logistics Engineer for development of technical publications. Our team performs modification of military aircraft, both rotary- and fixed-wing, to meet evolving needs of the warfighter. The Logistics Engineer is able to translate design drawings into technical publications,

analyze technical data to determine provisioning requirements, and interface with product developers/maintainers to generate end-user documentation.

This is an early career position (Bachelors degree with 2+ years, or equivalent experience/combined education).

Lexington is in the heart of the Bluegrass and is the second-largest city in Kentucky, and known as the "Horse Capital of the World". It is home to the University of Kentucky Wildcats. The surrounding region is a great place to live and raise a family with a variety of government and technology jobs.

Basic Qualifications:

Demonstrated competency with technical writing, using technical data to generate or modify technical publications.

Basic knowledge of provisioning or spares analysis based on technical data.

Desired Skills:

Experience with Department of Defense programs and standards.

Knowledge of rotary-wing or fixed-wing military aircraft.

Familiarity with Air Force Technical Orders (TOs), Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), or other Air Force technical manuals.

Familiarity with Modification Work Orders (MWOs), Field Maintenance Manuals (FMMs), Special Mission Equipment (SME) instructions, or Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs).

Prior use of CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, CATIA, or other graphics software to create document graphics.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
