The Product Manager has overall end-to-end responsibility for the product portfolio, starting from product planning, product development and delivery, marketing, and sales, by working with internal and external stakeholders. The Product manager has overall P&L responsibility for the product portfolio. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the definition and execution of the product strategy and roadmap for a new consumer focused product in the consumer industry. Lead the development of product level requirements, competitive analysis and positioning, tradeoff analysis and recommendation, and prioritization of key features and capabilities driving prioritization. Lead and help develop a vision and roadmap for the product, based on input from internal stakeholders, customers, market research and their own industry insight. Manage the product throughout its lifecycle from concept to end-of-life. Write Product Requirements and Market Requirements documents. Write the business case for investments and gain internal approval Work closely with Development/Engineering and other teams internally and externally to deliver products that align with this vision, meet market needs and deliver to a consistently high-quality standard Identify the key benefits and value of products. This will be used to create and maintain marketing plans and collateral (including web updates, product training materials and sales training). Educate and evangelize business priorities and priority changes to the cross functional working teams Run trials and MVPs, develop, and deliver go to market launch plans Develop an overall sales forecast for the product based on input from marketing, sales, market analysts and their own experience, and manage its delivery. Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to assess and establish partnerships by working with sales and marketing Be the recognized expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology, and the competition. Set pricing. Help Brief analysts and the press.
