Position Summary On-Premise General Service Workers serve our internal and external customers by ensuring the safe, reliable and timely preparation, delivery, installation and removal of all company equipment (e.g. fountains, coolers, vending machines) according to established company standards (e.g. cleanliness, graphics). Essential Functions Cleans, prepares and, repairs all equipment according to established standards; ensures equipment is clean, operating correctly and meets all established standards (e.g. graphics, asset tags). Delivers and installs all equipment at our customer locations according to established standards (e.g. operational equipment, updated graphics, proper installation, clean equipment and work area). Issues invoices and credits for events; reviews paperwork with customers. Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, AIBI and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local laws); wears all required personal protective equipment. Communicates with customers and Pepsi management on issues regarding equipment, products, opportunities and problems that arise at the customer location. Assists in the organization of the sales equipment warehouse; loads and unloads delivery trucks; stacks equipment safely and neatly; maintains a clean, neat and organized workspace and/or vehicle. Maintains confidentiality of pricing, customer information and other sensitive and confidential information. Completes time-off requests, inventory sheets, Equipment Move Orders, DOT logs and other paperwork as required according to established standards. Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required. Troubleshoots and repairs equipment at customer locations. Education Level High School degree, GED or equivalent; trade school diploma in heating, cooling, HVAC, mechanics or related field strongly preferred. Experience 6-12 months of previous merchandising /sales/customer relations experience. 6-12 months of previous mechanical and/or equipment troubleshooting experience Certificates & Licenses Valid Class A Commercial Drivers license or the ability to gain one. Employee must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment. Additional Requirements Knowledge of: beverage industry; product line; retail sales environment; various equipment (e.g. vending machines, coolers, fountain units); basic mechanics and troubleshooting. Skill in: internal and external customer service in a variety of settings; basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to: work quickly, efficiently and independently without direct supervision; adapt to change; display a professional, positive attitude; read (e.g. diagrams, maps) and write; perform basic math functions (e.g. addition, subtraction); communicate effectively with customers and other employees and develop good working relationships; be trained on operating a pallet jack, 2 and 4 wheeled hand cart, Genie lift, hand tools, power washer, forklift and other mechanical equipment; drive a vehicle; lift heavy equipment repetitively; multi-task; problem solve.
