The intern will work collaboratively with the librarians to support and advance initiatives. The position is funded at 20 hours per week with a weekly schedule that can be flexible based on the student and library needs. The MCL Intern is expected to be involved in the following activities:• Conduct mediated literature searches, provide reference using a variety of databases and platforms, and assist users with reference management software• Assist with instructional sessions given by MCL faculty and staff on the use of health sciences databases and electronic products• Manage projects and assignments while working collaboratively with MCL librarians• Assist with updating and maintaining LibGuides, Scribes, and other educational materials• Conduct a special project during the year that supports some aspect of the UKL Strategic Plan• Help cover the User Services Desk when neededTrainings on basic and advanced searching, LibGuide design, research and publishing, and other pertinent topics will be provided by medical librarians and invited guests through an adaptable curriculum.
