Job Summary
LLP Communications & Program Support Assistant is academically successful students (3.00 GPA and above) who aspire to be leaders and have a passion for the arts and mentoring others in the Creative Arts Living and Learning Program. This positions assists incoming freshmen in acclimating to UK’s campus and become involved with the arts community on campus. They enroll in a 1-credit hour leadership course that meets weekly during the entire academic year.
They will:
• Assist with event and program planning, collaborations with various campus groups, and provide logistic support to various Peer Mentor led programs and events each month
• Collaborate with Creative Arts LLP Coordinator and Peer
Mentor team for various projects and initiatives, including trainings and
professional development opportunities for Peer Mentor cohort
• Manage all event reservations for the Creative Arts LLP
each month, assist the Creative Arts LLP Coordinator with other event
reservation daily tasks, and provide weekly updates on creative arts spaces
• Provide support for various communication strategies
with LLP community including monthly calendars, planned daily updates for
Canvas, newsletters, article writing, and weekly social media engagement
• Work with CFA Communication staff to coordinate student
recruitment strategies through social media content, video highlights and
interviews, planned email campaigns, and in person tours/presentations
• Create connections and engagement initiatives for potential
collaborations between six connected courses required for LLP community members
in Fall semester and work with LLP Coordinator to enhance the second-year
experience for returning LLP students
