Description/Job Summary

Operate in a safe and efficient manner so as to be productive, while

maintaining high quality. Support operations by checking the physical

attributes of film and perform functional testing on finished product.

Responsibilities/Duties

Tasks and Duties

C Level job classification for 12 hour Inspector

  • New hire within department to 1 year of employment.

  • Safety - complies with all written and verbal safety rules of the plant and department including the use of personal protective equipment.

  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion. Restocks supplies, changes out utility knife blades. Completes housekeeping assignments per schedule.

  • Works from blueprints, tables, specifications, change orders, established operating procedures and oral or written instructions.

  • Examines for compliance using workmanship standards and proper manufacturing procedures.

  • Uses visual inspection and a variety of measuring instruments to test material tensile strengths, film printability, film seal ability and side seal strength.

  • Compiles data, maintains records and prepares reports, making all necessary mathematical calculations. Responsible for detecting and reporting defective goods.

  • Performs calibrations and temperature/humidity readings and records findings.

  • Other duties as assigned by Area Foreman or Department Manage.

  • Good oral, written and mathematical skills.

  • Working knowledge of computer skills.

Education

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

Required Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Available for overtime for vacation and call-off situations.

  • Mechanical aptitude.
