Hours: primary 7-3p, 8-4p, 9-5p 10-6p secondary 12p-8p, 1p-9p on call, weekend and holiday rotation required may rotate to offsite MSM locations
Summary:
Assists in managing the Ultrasound department's daily operations and provides sonographic diagnostic tests for patients as ordered. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation as appropriate to the ages of the patients served, based on the area of clinical practice. All diagnostic ultrasound positions working at Lockport Memorial Hospital will perform EKG's. Positions may include multisite rotations and require on-call coverage responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
Graduate of a School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography program RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) required
Must have a current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) Certification
Current NYS Driver's License required for all employees hired and/or transferred to position after 9/28/14. For those employees hired prior to 9/28/14 must provide a current NYS Driver's License if willing to be reassigned to offsite location
NYS Licensed Radiological Technologist preferred
American Registry of Radiological Technologists radiography certification ( ARRT (R) ) preferred
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years Sonography Experience required
Five (5) years Sonography Experience preferred

PHYSICAL EFFORT
Must be able to lift a container from floor level to table/waist height, and then return it to the floor with 40 lbs.
Must be able to lift a container at table/waist level then transfer it three feet to another nearby location at the same level with 75 lbs
