Summary

Under general supervision removes tests installs repairs calibrates and maintains all but the most complicated types of electronic electrical and mechanical equipment such as meters demand devices recorders relays telemetering devices supervisory and automatic control devices radio equipment and photoelectric controls; makes regularly scheduled tests on revenue metering equipment investigates radio and television interference complaints; develops oscillograph records. Makes reports and tabulates data for maintenance records. Works with and assists Technician of higher grade. Work on telemetering devices and supervisory and automatic control devices does not include independently checking out the telemetering supervisory or automatic control systems of which the devices are parts. Continues to maintain active interest in this type of work and through readings and study should keep abreast of progress in electrical technology related work.

Hourly rates for union-represented employees are collectively bargained by theNew York Power Authorityand IBEW. The negotiated pay rate for this position is$40.75 per hour.
