Dorman Products is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our growing team in our electronics remanufacturing facility in the Greater Harrisburg area, Lewisberry, PA. This position is responsible for completing engineering projects, continuous improvement initiatives, re-engineering old processes, designing fixturing, organizing, and controlling project elements and working with the production team to maximize efficiency and reduce cost. Primary Duties:

  • Design Production Processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce labor.

  • Complete Time and Labor studies to update and improve manufacturing processes.

  • Design Fixturing and tooling.

  • Design Layouts for product flow and/or personnel requirements

  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; track monetary savings.

  • Develop and document manufacturing procedures and requirements.

  • Control project costs

  • Training or retraining based on a changed or improved process.

  • Update documentation and work instructions

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities.

Education or Experience:

  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering with 2+ years’ experience OR

  • Associate degree in related discipline with 4+ years’ experience
