Masshire North Central Career Center Shelter Employment Program Coordinator in Leominster, Massachusetts

The primary focus of this role is to act as a targeted resource to support the ongoing work of MassHire Career Centers for shelter residents in connection with their journey to employment, including but not limited to the following primary areas: Work-Readiness Preparation Interview-Readiness for Identified Job Opportunities and scheduled Hiring & Recruiting Events On-boarding Coordination Post Job Placement This role will serve as a resource to support the MassHire Career Center network and be deployed at the direction of the Manager of Field Operations of the MassHire Department of Career Services in consultation with individual MassHire Career Centers. More specifically, the role will serve as a targeted resource to address existing gaps relating to assessments of work-readiness of shelter residents across the entire Shelter network, serve to assist and prepare shelter residents in connection with hiring & recruiting events relating to identified job opportunities and assist in the coordination of on-boarding relating to conditions of employment of confirmed job offers. For purposes of uniformity, portability and accessibility of data across the MassHire Career Center network, the program coordinator will utilize Moses for data management in connection with data generated in connection with work-readiness preparation, interview readiness preparation and individual job placements. The Program Coordinator will: ? Design and implement strategies aligned with organizational and program goals. ? Conduct intake assessment for work authorized sheltered residents ? Provide job placement assistance, which includes job matching, job referrals and job development for work authorized sheltered residents ? Promote EA Tax Credit & EA Training on the Job Opportunities to businesses Conduct outreach to engage with shelter residents and stakeholders. Prepare and maintain records related to program activities. Maintain and document all services and notes into the MOSES system for monitoring compliance and accurate outcomes data. Conduct follow up and track each customer as they progress through to job placement. Develop strategies to promote program incentives and increase its reach. Ensure jobseeker services and activities are documented in MOSES timely to ensure effective co-case management Ensure customers are informed and have access to all MassHire services, including but not limited to ? The Career Center Seminar ? Assessment Tools ? Career Counseling ? Job Search Assistance ? Training options, if eligible QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED AT HIRE 1. Bi-lingual in Haitian-Creole (preferred) 2. Ability to manage several tasks at once. 3. Attention to detail that may impact results 4. Ability to function well as a part of a team as well as independently. 5. Ability to establish priorities, adapt quickly to changing priorities and meet deadlines. 6. Ability to strategically plan, engage stakeholders and create and maintain interpersonal communication. 7. Exceptional organizational and writing skills. 8. Ability to critically think through situations and make decisions 9. Ability to deal tactfully with others. 10. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders inside and outside the agency (oral and written). Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information. 11. Input data accurately and timely into MA?s case management system, MOSES. 12. Update existing data and ensure its accuracy and completeness. 13. Regularly reviewing data for errors or discrepancies and correcting any found. 14. Maintain and organize files to ensure data quality and accessibility. 15. Provide support for data-related queries and access relevant files as needed. 16. Ensure compliance with data integrity and security policies. This is a grant funded position at least until October 31, 2025.
