Production Trainer (Resume required for this position)

The purpose of this job task procedure is to serve as a guide for employees who perform this job on a regular basis. It does not represent an employee’s complete job function as other job tasks may be assigned. Management retains the right to direct, evaluate employees and job procedures.

In order to perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform the essential job duties satisfactorily by ensuring that quality work is completed in accordance with production line requirements and as outlined below.

Job Description/Requirements:

  • Work with all new hires to ensure onboarding process is successful

  • Ensure all safety equipment is worn correctly and safety procedures followed.

  • Make sure equipment is clean and the area is free of safety hazards

  • Obtain a plan of the day's run

  • Maintain close contact with all new hires during their qualifying period.

  • Give walk-through to potential hires.

  • Complete a job competency sheet on each new hire transitioning from a gold hat to a white hat.

  • Ensure that all new hires have a complete understanding of the JBS culture

  • Make sure that the new hires have a complete understanding of the company policies and procedures.

  • Complete a 30-60-90day check-in on all new employees.

  • Fill out a weekly pulse check for the first 3 weeks.

  • Make for a smooth transition obtaining information from the new hires and answering their questions or finding out the answers from another source.

  • If any problems occur during the 30-60-90day check, bring this to the attention of the correct individual.

  • Verify a successful completion of qualifying period to the supervisor and HR.

  • Alert Floor Technicians to any untidy or unclean work spaces.

  • Thorough understanding of and the ability to operate multiple machines.

  • Complete weekly check-ins with all new employees

  • Maintain good attendance

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in protein production

  • Experience as a team leader

  • Bi-lingual a plus but not required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
