HAMILTON EQUIPMENT CO INC Welder/Fabricator in Lenoir City, Tennessee

Immediate opening for qualified Welder. Must have at least 2 years of welding experience. Will train to qualified candidates. Must be able to pass background and drug screening Full Time positions available. Normal work hours are 7:30 A.M. - 4 P.M. Pay based on experience. A welder must possess a working knowledge of the welding process. HEC utilize Short Arc, Mig Process, Pulse Arc, and Tig welding on carbon steel. Skills: The welder candidate must pass an in-house visual weld test in flat, horizontal and vertical down short arc MIG process, Pulse Arc, and a little TIG welding on carbon steel. A welder should be able to weld watertight in extreme, out of position environments. Some welds may be subject to pressure testing. The position also requires the ability to fit and tack components before the welding process begins. Candidate must be able to read a print and be able to measure. Key Tasks: Weld in out of position environments using short arc MIG and pulse Arc processes, Possess the ability to read a print, Be competent in mathematics and measuring, Have the ability to weld in long distances with minimal number of stops and starts, All welds should be water tight while some are subject to pressure testing, Fit up various projects before the welding process, Welds must pass a visual/aesthetic test, Welding in extreme heat environments, Welding is must have in confined spaces for long amounts of time. Qualifications A welder candidate must possess a good understanding of the welding process and have significant experience in heavy plate fitting/welding. Candidate must be a self-starter and have the self-motivation to work under minimal supervision.
