Job Description

Position purpose

The purpose of the role is to lead and oversee all activities and operations associated with data collection, historization (OSI Pi) and analytics applications (Discoverant).

Technical responsibilities

  • Define the strategy & roadmap for design and implementation of the Data Historian and Data Dashboarding/Visualization system aligned with standardized local Execution Systems approach and global strategies.

  • Manage on-going operations for the functional area, compile key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of Execution Systems processes and improve daily operations and project delivery and ensure that an inventory of company software and systems assets is maintained.

  • Plan and manage internal and external resources to support key business projects.

  • Lead projects related to data analytics systems.

  • Supervise integrators work during design, construction, commissioning, and validation phases.

  • Propose improvement initiatives with cost analysis.

  • Owner of data analytics systems (OSI Pi, Discoverant).

  • Lead training program in compliance with the appropriate regulatory guidelines, global & local QMS (Quality Management System) and IT policies and procedures.

  • Drive resolution of audit findings within agreed timelines.

  • OSIsoft PI Historian System Administrator.

  • Lead ES KPI/dashboarding.

  • Supporting engineering, manufacturing and quality by actively participating in structuring and analysis of data derived from both exploratory/observational studies and structured interventional studies.

Quality

  • Ensures implementation of and alignment to current GMP rules, Quality policies, procedures and instructions for their area of responsibility.

  • Ensures contribution of their organizational unit to continuous quality improvement initiatives and deviation reporting and follow-up.

EHSS

  • Ensures implementation of and alignment to EHSS legal requirements, rules, policies, procedures and instructions for their area of responsibility.

  • Ensures contribution of their organizational unit to EHSS initiatives and issues as well as near miss reporting and follow-up.

Education

Degree (bachelor, masters or long experience in an equivalent position) in automation-, electro- or electronic- engineer, Dipl. Ing. or M.Sc. or B.Sc. or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of successful Data Analytics tools project implementation (e.g. OSI PI, Discoverant) in the chemical, biotech-or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience in data historian systems (OSI PI), data analysis or data management

  • Proven IT/OT project management with software development and related documentation creation

  • Proven customer focus experiences and situational adaptability with both internal and external resources

  • Confirmed experiences in cGxP qualification

  • Proven experience in support of multi-site projects is a plus

  • Languages: English fluent in written and spoken, German is a plus
