[GENERAL FUNCTION: THIS IS A PART-TIME JOB: Under the general supervision of the Director or Multicultural Workforce Development, the applicant must demonstrate mastery of current technical application skills as an experienced Electrical Technician. *[ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:]{arial",sans-serif"=""}]{arial",sans-serif"=""}*

  • Teaching, present material, use equipment safely
  • Ensures that all necessary documents are kept current and delivered in a timely manner
  • Ensures that accurate and current materials are being used in the classroom
  • Prepares and updates materials/outlines for adult learning styles
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Confidentiality is extremely imperative. Brunswick Community College follows FERPA guidelines

* Must be able to teach:*

  • Electrical Safety and the National Electrical Code
  • Electrical Residential, Commercial, Light industrial, and/or industrial
  • PLC and Energy management systems a plus
  • Inventory management

[MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:]{arial",sans-serif"=""}

  • Licensed Electrical Contractor
  • 2-year degree as an Electrical Technician or 5 years experience on the field.
  • Must be willing to get NCCER and NC3 train-the-trainer training.

[PREFERRED:]{arial",sans-serif"=""}

  • NCCER Credential, teaching experience, and/or professional experience in the field. Familiar with the North Carolina's Apprenticeship program. Bilingual English Spanish a plus but not required.
