Position Role Type:

As Senior Technician (machining) the role will be responsible for detailed machine set ups, basic G&M codes CNC programming, proving out of new and proven programs and producing a wide range of aircraft interior components using a variety of CNC machines.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform machine set ups quickly, accurately, and efficiently using standard work.

  • Operate machines to produce production runs of parts in accordance with a daily production plan.

  • Self-Inspection of repeat work using the appropriate inspection equipment

  • Perform regular Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on the machinery.

  • Advise Team Lead and production engineering team of production issues and defects.

  • Supporting the Business in the implementation of Continuous Improvement to increase production.

  • Monitor and document operational performance and provide feedback to the Team Lead

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationship with peers and support teams.

  • Maintain quality standard through the understanding of the quality management system.

  • Adherence to all company EH&S and compliance guidelines.

  • Adhere to housekeeping, 5s and FOD rules ensuring a best in class organized working environment is always maintained.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong background in the use of various CNC Milling and/or Turning machinery.

  • Good understanding of fanuc control systems

  • Extensive knowledge of machine tooling and inspection measuring equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and confident with producing components to a high quality standard.

  • Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and data.

  • Strong EH&S awareness in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to work unsupervised

  • Good communication skills Verbally and written)

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Good metallurgy knowledge

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office software

  • Experience of lean manufacturing techniques

  • Experience in completing projects for process improvement.

LOCAL INFORMATION

  • This role reports to – Team Leader (Late Shift)

  • Travel requirement – 10%

  • Hours of Work – Flexible hours – 39 hours per week

  • Mon-Thurs: 15:00-00:00

  • Fri: 12:00-17:00
