Position Summary

Leiden Site is seeking a dynamic on-site People Manager to join a team of materials management professionals. You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities. You will be responsible for Warehousing and Material movement Operations to internal customers in support of cellular therapeutic manufacturing during process transfers, routine production, and technology improvements. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, at shop floor level, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, managing warehouse staff, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.

  • Ensure that all warehouse processes are carried out efficiently and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Implement and maintain warehouse Standard Operating Procedures, work practices and other relevant documentation in compliance with comply with cGMP requirements.

Inventory Control:

  • Monitor inventory and conduct regular stock counts to ensure accuracy.

  • Manage inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse employees.

  • Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse employees.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.

  • Foster an environment of continuous learning, teamwork, open communication, and a sense of urgency.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure that the warehouse operates in compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

  • Ensure staff training and qualification for warehouse activities.

  • Own and manage deviations, investigations, and corrective/preventive actions.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Coordinate with Logistics Manager timely reception and dispatch of goods.

  • Manage internal and external stakeholders.

  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions to improve efficiency.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, including key metrics such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and operational efficiency.

  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, relevant education or experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of proven experience as Warehouse Manager or relevant work experience, preferred to have some experience in GMP environment.

  • 5+ years of advanced People manager experience and team management.

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics, in a GMP/pharmaceutical environment.

  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management software, SAP/eWM knowledge is a preferred.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • General dangerous goods experience and certifications are a plus.
