Xactware Solutions, Inc. (Xactware) seeks a Senior Engineer in Lehi, UT.

 

Duties:

 

Design, build, support, and promote [OS, Compute, Storage, Automation, Analytics] technologies that augment and advance the capabilities within the enterprise. Build secure, scalable, and highly available solutions that adhere to enterprise policies, industry standards, and best practices. Provide operational support for all environments within your technical group as well as escalation support for junior engineers. Measure all environments within your technical group for adherence to enterprise standards and best practices and assist with remediation and optimization. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for technical design, implementation, and problem resolution. Provide design guidance and support to business partners to enable optimal usage of selected technologies and solutions. Develop and maintain scripts, automated processes, and documentation for repeatable design patterns, to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time. Telecommuting permitted.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience with the following:

 

1) Designing, managing, and/or supporting enterprise infrastructure systems.

2) Networking concepts including OSI network layers, and TCP/IP.

3) Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.

4) Public cloud products and services including AWS or Azure.

5) Database platforms including MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

6) CI/CD tools and methodologies, system programming and scripting in Python and PowerShell.

7) Integration with enterprise operations and security tools including Okta, Splunk, SolarWinds, ServiceNow, Infoblox and Imperva.

8) Technical documentation tools including Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
