Summary

Utilize SAP to facilitate movement of goods to internal and external customer. Coordinate daily shipping schedules to match capacity for assigned facility. Ensure that a shipment created meets all requirements for on-time delivery. Generate weekly reports that measure payload and on time delivery goals. Handle all exceptions that may occur in an efficient and effective manner. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Schedule: 8am to 5pm

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. The associate works with supply to coordinate co-packers finished goods to the Pet Treats DC and production locations.

  2. Tying loads to/from the co packers

  3. Making the appointments to the DC

  4. Creating the Purchase receipts to the co-packer and receipts against the PO & DC

  5. Manage the Pet Treats Transportation to ensure all loads are assigned to a carrier

  6. Building PPMC STO and inventory

  7. Build the OB loads from PPMC to the Perdue DC’s (Leesport/Rincon)

  8. Post the inventory in SAP and build the inventory at the DC’s (Leesport/Rincon)

  9. Create Perdue Inbound load numbers to be received at the Perdue DC’s

  10. Pasture Bird: warehouse & distribution

  11. Back-up Leesport logistics coordinator

Minimum Education

REQUIRED: 2-year degree with minimum 5 years Logistics/Transportation Experience

PREFERRED: 4-year degree in Business Related field

Experience Requirements

Experience in transportation. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong systems aptitude and must be proficient to Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis in Outlook, Word and Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
