Tuknik Government Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking multiple General Clerk 1's with a Public Trust Clearance to support TGS and our government customer in Lees Summit, MO. Work Shift: 2nd and 3rd shifts only.

This role performs services as they relate to the digitization (scanning) and preservation of documents for a government client.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Using an interpretive guide and training manual perform the following duties:

  • Disassemble and Assemble files and return to original order.

  • Identify and label forms in the system.

  • Ensure image readability.

  • Create inventory list of files in Excel.

  • Process files through a high-speed scanner

  • Move file boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. from floor or shelf to desk several times per day.

  • Maintain production quotas and quality standards for the position.

  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum six (6) months of experience.

  • Be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, as needed.

  • Be able to pass a post offer employment physical abilities test.

  • Obtain/retain government public trust (includes a credit/criminal checks).

  • Client requires a U.S. Citizen.

  • Performance Requirements:

  • Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures; Applies common sense understanding to carry out written, oral or diagram instructions.

  • Must have the ability to focus on details and pay attention during repetitive tasks.

  • Written, oral and interpersonal communications skills.

  • Basic computer skills; Understand how to navigate through a Windows environment.

  • Reading, alphabetization, numerical and keyboard skills.

  • Time-management skills.

Work Environment:

Work performed in an office or work floor production setting. Must be able to use repetitive hand/wrist motions, sit for prolonged periods, lift, or move up to 40 lbs., have visual ability to see objects closely as in reading for long periods and using a computer monitor.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
