The Event Collective Party & Event Rentals Delivery Driver in Lebanon, Pennsylvania

Position Summary:

Responsible for effectively managing day-to-day deliveries and pickups, working directly with the Operations Manager and Warehouse team to provide exceptional service to all customer and vendor partners in a caring and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for knowing and understanding delivery schedule by communicating regularly with Operations Manager and working in the inventory software

  • Works directly with Warehouse team to prep, load and unload trucks

  • Review of all outgoing and incoming orders, to be sure nothing is missed, being the last "line of defense" prior to loading the trucks

  • Making sure clear directions are noted for each order prior to leaving warehouse

  • Delivering and picking up rentals in a timely manner - communicating with customers as requested upon arrival

  • Packing trucks in a safe and secure manner

  • Making sure trucks are clean and fueled. Keeping proper documentation inside glove compartment inside truck

  • Keeping trucks locked when not in use

  • Driving safely and responsibly. Following rules of the road and speed limits.

  • Reporting any mechanical issues to the Operations Manager as soon as possible

  • Helping to maintain service and inspections in conjunction with the Operations Manager

  • Assist warehouse team to clean rentals/keep warehouse clean and safe. Assist customers with pickups and returns in drive through as needed

  • Use Forklift to remove/replace rentals on warehouse shelving in a safe manner

  • Conduct Annual End of Year Inventory with team

  • Help with any repairs as needed, notifies Operations Manager when an outside repair service is needed

  • Anything else asked by management

  • Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a DOT Medical Card

  • Must have a clean driving record

  • Must have truck driving experience

  • Must be organized and able to focus on tasks

  • Must be willing to be in rotation for late night pickups

  • Ability to do simple math

  • Ability to operate forklift and equipment as needed

  • Warehouse experience is a plus

  • Must have excellent communication - verbal and written

  • Ability to provide professional service to all customers and vendor partners

  • Ability to analyze, solve problems and make decisions according to needs of customers, co-workers and vendors, while following company policies, mission and core values

  • Must be cooperative, friendly and hard-working

  • Maintains professional language and manners - both with customers and co-workers

  • Ability to offer suggestions to improve efficiency in daily operations

  • Exhibits personal responsibility in areas such as attendance, tardiness, flexibility and time management

  • Contributes to safety and security, being aware of policies and reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment in a timely basis

  • Attends regular meetings as required

  • Follows all company safety standards and policies
