FECON Laser/Brake Press Floater in Lebanon, Ohio

Position: Laser/Brake Press Floater

Status: Full-Time; Non-Exempt

FECON, LLC is a vegetation management equipment manufacturer located in Lebanon, Ohio near Kings Island Amusement Park. Job Summary:

Responsible for planning press brake work to minimize setup times. Assist in breaking out parts coming off the laser. Able to operate press brake and laser to float between the two machines as needed. Will work with programmer to align scheduled work with production demand. Perform required maintenance on press brakes and lasers with team.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Properly and safely operates CNC press brake and laser as needed.

  • Works with programmers to improve setups and processing of materials.

  • Schedule press brakes to minimize setups and keep the brakes running to capacity.

  • Assist with part break out on the laser.

  • Works with operators to maintain equipment as required.

  • Maintains and organizes press brake holding area by cut schedule and demand.

  • Always maintains a safe work environment.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work and achieve goals with minimal supervision.

  • Self-starter, motivated, and works well in a team environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints.

  • Possesses a strong attention to detail. Press brakes and lasers are precision equipment.

  • Ability to use measuring tools to ensure part accuracy.

  • Has strong mechanical and technical skills.

  • Ability to understand press brake setups to schedule work accordingly and limit setup time between parts.

  • Knowledge of laser mechanics to assist in cleaning protective lenses, nozzle centering, clearing alarms, and follow operational standards.

  • Ability to adapt and be a positive influence to advance daily operation goals.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Two years of press brake and laser experience.

  • Previous scheduling experience preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely lift 50lbs.

  • Use overhead cranes and job cranes.

  • Most work performed standing at floor level.

  • Ability to do repetitive movement with hands.
