Dartmouth Health Technical Aide Mammography in Lebanon, New Hampshire
Overview
The Mammography department at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center has two clinical areas, screening and diagnostics. Special procedures such as needle localizations, image-guided core biopsies, and sentinel node injections are performed in the diagnostic area. The Breast Imaging division is a component of the Comprehensive Breast Care Program (CBCP) at DHMC.
The Technical Aide assists Mammographers in performance of technical duties.
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week, benefitted day-shift position.
Responsibilities
Performs limited duties of the receptionist and file clerk, such as answering telephones and maintaining departmental files.
Restocks supplies in examination rooms and core area. Maintains a clean and safe environment.
Provides for patient care, comfort, safety and confidentiality.
Makes basic observations and reports information to staff. Handles body fluids using universal precautions. Assists in lifting, positioning, and ambulating patients.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- High school graduate with good interpersonal skills.
Required Licensure/Certifications
Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
